Beck Students create all kinds of great things while here in the Media Center. Take a look below at some of our latest and greatest creations.
6th Graders have been working since mid February investigating difference careers that they might be interested in. We started by doing a career interest inventory and then taking notes on jobs the students were interested in and fit their personalities. Next, we created a video resume´ using pictures from the internet and iMovie trailers. Below are the movies the 6th graders created to showcase at the Career Focus Luncheon that happens every May in Utica Community Schools. Enjoy!

Mrs. Costandi's Biography Project
4th Graders in Mrs. Costandi's room have been working on the Biography genre during Media Center. We have read some short biographies and autobiographies to learn the difference between the two genres. As a culminating activity, students were asked to research a person using the website kids InfoBits and take notes using ReadWriteThink.org After taking their notes they created a BioCube which highlighted the person, their personal background, personality traits, significance, obstacles, and an important quote. Digital Citizenship: Social Profiles
3rd Graders in Mrs. Heywood's room have been working on learning about being a good digital citizen. Students worked in media center class to learn what information is private (should not be shared on the internet) and which information is personal (able to be shared on the internet).
